Arna Sauna is a community-driven, self-service sauna located at Øyrane Torg in Indre Arna, opened in December 2024 as a unique initiative by local sports club Arna-Bjørnar. The sauna brings wellness and community together in a neighborhood setting where the fjord is right at your doorstep.
The fully insulated wood-fired sauna accommodates up to 12 people and offers a simple, authentic experience. There are changing facilities and direct access to clean, fresh seawater for cold dips. The operation is entirely self-service, meaning you heat the sauna yourself and manage your own session, which lasts at least two hours including heating time.
Arna Sauna uses dynamic pricing that considers both time of day and wood consumption, with early morning slots priced lower. The sauna welcomes guests daily from 06:00 to 21:00. Children under 16 must be accompanied by an adult. Alcohol is not permitted. Indre Arna is easily reached from Bergen city center by train or car, making this an accessible escape from the city bustle.
