Kleksen Saunaboat is a wood-fired sauna boat idyllically located by Forra in Evenes municipality, surrounded by majestic mountains and the beautiful Ofotfjord. This family-owned business combines relaxation with spectacular northern Norwegian nature, and the spacious boat accommodates up to twelve people with modern facilities including a rooftop terrace, shower, and toilet.
Sustainability is at the heart of the operation. Rainwater is collected and filtered for the shower, electricity comes from a wind turbine, and the sauna is heated by a wood-burning stove. The boat is motorised and can be moved to different locations, offering flexibility and a sense of adventure. After warming up in the sauna, guests take a refreshing plunge into the Arctic waters of the Ofotfjord.
The location benefits from minimal light pollution, and on clear autumn and winter evenings, the northern lights may dance across the sky overhead. When the sauna lights are turned off, the darkness is complete, and the aurora display becomes the show. Kleksen is about a 50-minute drive from Narvik and is open for both individual visits and private events, including corporate gatherings and celebrations.
