Nausta

Floating sauna with mountain panorama in Molde

Molde, Western Norway

Nausta is a floating sauna in Molde, the city known as the “Town of Roses” for its mild climate and lush gardens. But the real star here is the panoramic view of the Romsdal Alps, a jagged mountain range that creates one of Norway’s most stunning backdrops for a sauna session.

From the floating sauna, bathers look out across the Moldefjord toward 222 snow-capped peaks lined up along the horizon. The sauna itself is well-heated and the fjord provides refreshing cold dips. The experience of steaming in a sauna while gazing at one of Scandinavia’s finest mountain panoramas is hard to beat.

Molde is accessible by air, road, or coastal ferry and serves as a gateway to the Atlantic Road and Trollstigen. Nausta is centrally located on the waterfront and easy to reach on foot. Prices are reasonable, making it one of the more accessible floating sauna experiences in western Norway.
